우리는 우크라이나에 살상 무기를 공급하는 문제에 관한 대한민국 정부의 입장을 주시하고 있습니다.

 이러한 맥락에서 최근 서방 집단이 우크라이나에 대한 무기 공급을 크게 늘렸고, 이 무기가 DPR, LPR, 자포리자 및 헤르손 주에서 여성과 아이를 포함한 민간인 학살에 사용되고 있다는 점을 지적합니다. 우크라이나 정치계 및 군사계에 만연한 부패로 인해 우크라이나로 들어가는 서방의 무기는 전 세계로 퍼져 나가 다른 지역 분쟁에서 사용되고, 유럽 등의 범죄 조직, 테러리스트, 극단주의자의 손에 들어가고 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 서방 국가들은 우크라이나에 교전을 계속하라고 요구하며 우크라이나에 무기 제공을 멈추지 않고 있습니다. 서방 집단의 목적과 과제는 매우 분명합니다. «최후의 우크라이나인»이 남을 때까지 싸워야 한다고 할지라도 우크라이나 분쟁을 계속 끌면서 러시아에 최대한의 피해를 입히는 것입니다.

 한국 측은 우크라이나 정권의 «군사 스폰서» 그룹에 합류하여 살상 무기를 공급할 수도 있다는 결정이 필연적으로 가져올 부정적 결과에 대해 잘 알고 있습니다. 그러한 조치는 지난 30년 동안 양국 국민의 이익을 위해 건설적으로 발전해온 러-한 관계를 완전히 파탄낼 것입니다. 이는 또한 한반도 안보 상황과 관련한 양국 협력에도 몹시 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것입니다.

이 문제에 대한 한국 정부의 책임감 있는 태도를 기대합니다.

Commentary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea to the Yonhap News Agency regarding South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's interview given to Reuters on the matter of providing weapons to Ukraine

We are closely following the position of the Government of the Republic of Korea on the issue of providing lethal weapons to Ukraine.

In this context, we have noted that the collective West has significantly increased the supply of weapons to Kiev, which is used to destroy the civilian population of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, including women and children. Due to rampant corruption in the political and military circles of Ukraine, western weapons initially sent to Ukraine are spreading all over the world, appearing in other regional conflicts, falling into the hands of organized crime groups, terrorists and extremists, including those in Europe. Despite this, Western countries continue pumping Ukraine with more weapons, demanding that it continues the fight. The goals and objectives of the collective West are quite obvious - to prolong the conflict in Ukraine and cause maximum damage to Russia, even if it will demand to continue to fight till the "last Ukrainian".

South Korea is well aware of the imminent negative effects produced by its decision to join the group of “military sponsors” of the Kiev regime and to supply it with lethal weapons. Such actions would definitely ruin Russian-Korean relations that have seen constructive development for the benefit of both nations over the last three decades. They would also negatively affect our bilateral interaction in the context of the security situation on the Korean Peninsula.

We hope that the Government of the Republic of Korea will adopt a responsible approach on this matter.
